⚠ If You're Having a Medical Emergency

Call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately.

Do not use FreeAir Coach in place of emergency medical care. If you are experiencing chest pain, severe shortness of breath, signs of a stroke, severe withdrawal symptoms, suicidal thoughts, or any other medical emergency, seek immediate medical attention.

FreeAir Coach Is Not Medical Care

FreeAir Coach LLC ("FreeAir Coach") provides a digital wellness application focused on smoking cessation. The Service is designed for educational and motivational purposes only.

FreeAir Coach is not:

Use of the Service does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or any other professional relationship between you and FreeAir Coach LLC, Dr. Eskender Beyene, or any other affiliated party.

Dr. Beyene's Role

Dr. Eskender Beyene, MD is a board-certified pulmonologist and the founder of FreeAir Coach. His role with FreeAir Coach is as the founder, clinical content advisor, and product designer — not as your treating physician.

Dr. Beyene's clinical practice at Washington Metro Sleep Institute is entirely separate from FreeAir Coach. Using FreeAir Coach does not make you a patient of Dr. Beyene or his practice.

Educational content within the Service is informed by Dr. Beyene's clinical experience treating patients with smoking-related lung disease, but is presented as general wellness information, not personalized medical advice.

Consult Your Physician

Talk to Your Doctor Before You Quit

We strongly recommend consulting your physician or a licensed healthcare provider before beginning any smoking cessation effort, especially if you have underlying health conditions or take medications. Quitting smoking is a major change to your physiology, and your doctor can help you maximize your chances of success.

You should consult a qualified healthcare provider:

Nicotine Replacement and Medication Warnings

Important Drug Safety Information

FreeAir Coach does not prescribe, recommend, or sell nicotine replacement products or smoking cessation medications. Any information about NRT, varenicline, bupropion, or other cessation aids in the Service is general educational content only.

Cessation medications and NRT can cause side effects, drug interactions, and adverse reactions. Critical considerations include:

Do not start, stop, or change any medication based on information from FreeAir Coach. Always work with your healthcare provider.

Limitations of the AI Coach

The FreeAir Coach AI Coach is powered by Anthropic's Claude AI and is grounded in clinical reference materials selected by Dr. Beyene. While extensively designed to provide useful coaching, the AI Coach has important limitations:

Mental Health Considerations

Quitting Smoking Affects Mood

Nicotine withdrawal can cause significant mood changes, including irritability, anxiety, depression, and difficulty concentrating. For most people, these symptoms are temporary. For some, they can be severe.

If during your quit journey you experience:

Stop relying on FreeAir Coach alone and contact a healthcare provider or mental health resource immediately. The crisis resources at the bottom of this page are available 24/7 and free.

Not for Use by Minors

FreeAir Coach is intended for adults age 18 and older who are seeking to quit smoking. The Service is not designed for, marketed to, or appropriate for use by minors.

If you are under 18 and want to quit smoking or vaping, please:

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, talk to your obstetrician or midwife before using any smoking cessation aids, including NRT. While quitting smoking is one of the most important things you can do for your pregnancy, the safety of various cessation methods during pregnancy requires individualized medical guidance.

FreeAir Coach can provide motivational support and behavioral coaching during pregnancy, but it is not a substitute for prenatal medical care.

Results Are Not Guaranteed

Smoking cessation is difficult. Most people who successfully quit smoking try multiple times before they succeed. FreeAir Coach is designed to support your quit journey, but:

Slips and relapses are part of the quitting process for many people. They are not failures — they are opportunities to learn what triggers your smoking and to refine your quit strategy.

Testimonials and Success Stories

Any testimonials, reviews, or success stories on the Service or our website reflect the experiences of individual users. They are not typical, not guaranteed, and should not be interpreted as average or expected results. Your experience may differ significantly.
